2nd prize Taikang Chang Ping Life Science Park, Beijing:

The Beijing office of KSP Jürgen Engel Architekten has won the 2nd prize in the competition for the new Taikang Life Insurance Headquarter in Beijing. The site for the research and development center is located in Beijing’s Science Park, which is situated northwest of Beijing downtown. The shape of the new TAI KANG office design is derived from the association that the linked parts of the building are creating a “connection”, reflecting figuratively chaining, coherence and confederation as characteristics of the corporate image of the TAI KANG Life Insurance Company. It also represents several links: it represents several links: between company and client; between company and staff; between human and nature.
