Siemens Campus, Erlangen

Siemens Campus, Erlangen

Planned to be the biggest Siemens site in the world, the “Siemens Campus Erlangen” will be built to a design by KSP Jürgen Engel Architekten. Siemens and the City of Erlangen had invited 12 architecture firms to submit entries to the urban design architecture competition. With a considerable majority the jury voted in favor of the design by KSP Jürgen Engel Architekten. The high urban development and structural planning qualities, which take ecological as well as economic aspects into consideration in a coherent and convincing manner, were the deciding factor in the jury’s decision. The Siemens Campus is intended to provide not only a state-of-the-art research and work environment, but also accommodation and a hotel.
