Laying of the foundation stone for the Four Points by Sheraton Hotel in Ljubljana

August 23, 2019 saw the foundation stone laid for the 11,400 m² extension to the “Four Points by Sheraton” hotel in Ljubljana in Slovenia. KSP Jürgen Engel Architekten in Frankfurt/Main is in charge of the planning for the new four-story structure with underground parking. Featuring among other things underground parking, spa and conference facilities, food and drink, and a foyer, not to mention 12 hotel rooms, the block-shaped extension will be built in the south of the site. The extension directly adjoins the existing edifice, adding a second wing to the V-shaped footprint. For the facade, glass sections will alternate with opaque sheet metal cladding, which will be water-blasted and perforated. Built on behalf of the developer Hotel Mons d.o.o., commissioning of the extension is scheduled for fall 2020.
